June 27, 2026 – Radio 854 Music News:
Madonna has revealed that one simple Instagram message was all it took to kick-start her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
The Queen of Pop has teamed up with the Espresso hitmaker on “Bring Your Love”, the lead single from her upcoming album Confessions II, but the partnership almost never happened.
Speaking during a BBC special with Graham Norton, Madonna admitted she decided to contact Carpenter directly through Instagram.
“I sent her a DM on Instagram. Sometimes you DM people and you think, ‘They’re never going to believe it’s really me.’ I just said, ‘I’m making a new record and I’d love to collaborate with you.’ It ended up being Bring Your Love – it worked perfectly.”
The unexpected message proved to be the beginning of one of this year’s biggest pop collaborations. The pair first performed the song together during Sabrina Carpenter’s headline set at Coachella before officially releasing it as the lead single from Madonna’s new project.
Despite the excitement surrounding Confessions II, Madonna says she’s keeping her expectations in check.
“I don’t have any expectations. I’ve been doing this for a long time. You hope for the best and prepare for the worst,” she explained.
Confessions II arrives on July 3 and marks Madonna’s long-awaited return to the dance-pop sound that made her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor a worldwide success.
With “Bring Your Love” already generating plenty of buzz, fans are eager to hear what else Madonna has in store on the new record.
