Noel Gallagher Considers Giving Up Booze Ahead of Oasis’ 2027 Tour

Noel Gallagher is considering giving up alcohol ahead of Oasis’ massive 2027 Live ’27 tour, following in the footsteps of his younger brother Liam.

The Oasis guitarist revealed the possibility during an appearance on talkSPORT Drive, just as the band officially announced a 38-date tour across the UK, Europe and the United States.

Liam Gallagher gave up drinking and smoking ahead of Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour, saying he wanted to make sure nothing interfered with the long-awaited comeback.

Noel admitted that he continued drinking during the previous tour, but suggested he may take a different approach this time.

“Liam will be off the booze. I wasn’t for the last tour, but I might be for this tour.”

The 59-year-old also explained that touring in his younger years is no longer realistic.

“You’ve got to go to bed early,” Noel said, adding that Oasis cannot tour in the same way they did during the 1990s or even the 2000s.

A more relaxed Oasis

Oasis’ 2027 tour will begin at Celtic Park in Glasgow on May 21 and include major stops in Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Boston and Las Vegas. The tour will conclude with four huge shows at Knebworth, 30 years after the band’s legendary 1996 concerts there.

Noel says the upcoming shows should be more relaxed than the 2025 reunion, when the brothers faced huge pressure surrounding the comeback, rehearsals and ticket demand.

Despite the excitement surrounding the tour, fans hoping for new Oasis material will be disappointed. Noel has confirmed that there will be no new music accompanying the 2027 shows.

For now, it looks like Oasis are concentrating on what they do best: getting back on stage and playing the classics — hopefully with Noel well rested and, perhaps, alcohol-free.
