Canadian musician Cindy Lee (the project of Patrick Flegel) has revealed a brief but highly anticipated North American tour, marking a return to the stage following a year-long hiatus after cancelling part of their 2024 tour for personal reasons.
The tour kicks off this November with a performance at Chicago’s Empty Bottle on November 5, supported by Freak Heat Waves and Accessory XL. From there, the journey continues:
November 6 – Toronto, Massey Hall (support from Blue Light)
November 10 – Montreal, Rialto Theatre (with Freak Heat Waves)
November 15 – Brooklyn, NY, Brooklyn Paramount (also with Freak Heat Waves).
These performances serve as “make-up shows” for the concerts that were cancelled in spring 2024, including the scheduled Empty Bottle and Canadian stops.
Tickets will be going on sale to the general public on Friday, August 15. Select presales are already underway—Toronto and Montreal performances, for instance, have presale access beginning August 13 using the code MODO.
Alongside the tour announcement, Cindy Lee has also made a notable shift in their music availability: they’ve pulled their catalog from Spotify and fully embraced Bandcamp as their primary digital platform. Additionally, plans are in place for physical reissues—on CD and vinyl—of earlier albums like Cat o’ Nine Tails and Act of Tenderness later this year.

This tour marks Cindy Lee’s first live shows in over a year following the unexpected cancellation of their “last American tour” in 2024. Fans are buzzing at the prospect of these long-delayed performances.
2. Unique Opening Acts:
Freak Heat Waves, who were already set to support the original tour, are back for Chicago, Montreal, and Brooklyn. Toronto’s show will feature Blue Light—increasing the excitement for varied musical flavors.
3. Intentional Platform Shift:
The move away from Spotify and toward Bandcamp signals Cindy Lee’s commitment to a more direct, artist-friendly distribution model. It also underscores the value of authenticity and independent control in the modern music industry.
4. Physical Media Renaissance:
With vinyl and CD presses of Cindy Lee’s back catalog on the horizon, this tour could become a major launchpad for fans to reclaim or discover physical editions of beloved
