Justin Bieber has once again found himself at the center of public scrutiny after sharing images on Instagram that depict him smoking from a bong. The photos, posted on March 3, 2025, show the 31-year-old singer riding a bike and exhaling smoke while holding the device.

Fans and followers quickly took to social media to express their concerns, particularly regarding the example Bieber might be setting for his six-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber. One user commented, “@justinbieber you’re a new father, something you’ve wanted. Set a better example for your son.” Another added, “I hope Jack doesn’t have to be around all this smoke. A kid doesn’t deserve it.”

However, there were also fans who defended the singer’s actions, pointing out that many people smoke and that it doesn’t necessarily reflect his parenting. In response to the controversy, Bieber’s representative declined to comment.

This incident comes on the heels of recent rumors suggesting Bieber’s alleged drug use, which his team has strongly denied. On February 25, he posted a video of himself rapping lyrics like “fly high,” merely two days after his representative dismissed drug use allegations as “exhausting and pitiful.” The representative emphasized that Bieber is focusing on supporting his wife and son while concentrating on his health and art.

Bieber has been open about his past struggles with substance abuse. In a 2021 GQ interview, he revealed that he reached a point where guards would check his pulse to ensure he was alive. Earlier, in 2019, he confessed on Instagram that the pressures of being an entertainer led him to start using “heavy drugs” by the age of 19.

As of now, Bieber has not publicly addressed the recent backlash stemming from his latest Instagram posts.
