Little Monsters, rejoice! Lady Gaga is bringing her signature drama and flair to the eerie world of Nevermore Academy. The pop icon has written an original track titled “Dead Dance” for the upcoming second season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday.
Known for her genre-bending sound and theatrical style, Gaga’s new song promises to match the twisted and whimsical tone of the show. Dead Dance is set to appear in a pivotal moment of the season, reportedly during a gothic ball scene that centers around Wednesday Addams herself.
Netflix teased a short snippet of the track on social media, and fans are already buzzing about its haunting melody, dramatic strings, and Gaga’s chilling vocals. While the full version hasn’t been released yet, it’s expected to drop alongside the season premiere later this year.
Gaga expressed her excitement in a statement:
“I’ve always been fascinated by characters who live on the fringe of darkness and brilliance. Writing ‘Dead Dance’ for Wednesday was like stepping into her mind — fierce, strange, and unapologetically her own.”
This isn’t Gaga’s first brush with the Addams family — her song “Bloody Mary” saw a massive resurgence on TikTok in 2022 thanks to fans pairing it with Wednesday’s viral dance scene. That fan-driven moment even sparked rumors (later confirmed!) of Gaga’s involvement in the second season.
Wednesday season two promises even more supernatural thrills, quirky humor, and now — a Lady Gaga anthem to dance to in the dark.
