The legendary vocalist has officially announced the Mimi Anniversary Tour, commemorating the 20th anniversary of her groundbreaking 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi.
The tour, set to kick off this summer, will feature performances of all the beloved tracks from The Emancipation of Mimi, including chart-topping hits like “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” “It’s Like That,” and “Don’t Forget About Us.” Fans can also expect special deep cuts, reimagined versions, and possibly even surprise collaborations, all delivered with Carey’s signature vocal prowess.
In a statement shared on social media, Mariah said, “The Emancipation of Mimi was such a pivotal moment in my life and career — a true celebration of freedom, love, and resilience. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! I’m beyond excited to revisit this era with all of you and make new memories together.”
Originally released in April 2005, The Emancipation of Mimi marked a powerful comeback for Carey, solidifying her status as a global superstar. The album earned her multiple Grammy Awards, sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and delivered one of the biggest songs of her career with “We Belong Together.”
In addition to the tour, Carey hinted at exclusive anniversary merchandise and a special deluxe edition of The Emancipation of Mimi, featuring unreleased tracks, remixes, and behind-the-scenes content.
Pre-sale tickets for the Mimi Anniversary Tour will be available starting March 29, with general sales opening on April 1.
With this tour, Mariah Carey not only honors a defining chapter of her career but also reminds the world why she remains one of the most celebrated voices of all time.
