About Me

Ron Witkamp, ​​born in 1962. From 1978 to 1984, I was active as an FM radio pirate and Drive-In DJ in the Gooi & Eemland region. After quite a few years of ‘radio silence,’ the urge to get back into it returned during the Corona pandemic. I joined a number of hobby radio groups on the Internet, and one thing led to another. I broadcast programs for several radio stations (online & medium wave) and was a co-creator and founder of a few wonderful radio initiatives. Music from all over the world fascinates me, and I am a great lover of classical music. Additionally, I enjoy working with (ICT) technology and am always looking for the limits of technical possibilities. I also like to share what I come up with with others, and I do so via the website of which the Hitzoeker is also a part: www.devriendenvanderadio.nl.
