December 6, 2025 – Radio 854 Music News:
After a blockbuster reunion year, Oasis has reportedly declined an offer to perform at the famed Sphere in Las Vegas.
Following their highly successful “Live ’25” tour — a return that saw sold-out shows and renewed global interest — the Gallaghers and their bandmates have been flooded with concert offers. Among them: a bid to headline a residency at the Sphere.
Given their renewed status and resources, many assumed a residency could be on the cards. Their production crew even had ideas for an immersive visual package tracing Oasis’s journey from Manchester beginnings to present-day.
Yet the band — reportedly on the advice of friend and fellow-rock legend U2’s Bono — balked at the idea. Bono is said to have warned them about the staggering cost tied to staging a show inside the Sphere.
According to sources close to the band, frontman Noel Gallagher remains cautious: despite their success and capable graphics team, he didn’t want to commit to a spectacle that might result in a financial loss for the band.
This decision reflects something classic about Oasis: even amid reunion hype, they remain pragmatic. The band appears more comfortable playing big stadiums — where they’ve found recent success — rather than gambling on ultra-expensive, immersive residencies.
It also suggests a shift in how legacy bands balance spectacle, legacy, and risk. Despite the odds, they chose art and caution over the allure of glitzy shows.
No Sphere residency for Oasis — at least for now.
The band’s focus remains on touring and possibly more global stadium dates.
For fans hoping for a Vegas-style Oasis show, don’t lose hope — but expect performances to stay traditional rather than extravagant.
