Miley Cyrus has unveiled her latest single, “End of the World,” on April 3, 2025. This track serves as the lead single from her forthcoming ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, slated for release on May 30, 2025, under Columbia Records.
“End of the World” was co-written and co-produced by Cyrus alongside collaborators including Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, Maxx Morando, and members of the band Alvvays, Molly Rankin and Alec O’Hanley. The song blends elements of alternative rock and pop, showcasing Cyrus’s evolving musical style.
Accompanying the single’s release is a visually striking music video, co-directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter. In the video, Cyrus performs on a smoke-filled stage adorned in a green Mugler dress, delivering an evocative performance that complements the song’s themes.
Prior to “End of the World,” Cyrus released two promotional tracks from Something Beautiful: “Prelude” and the album’s title track, both debuting on March 31, 2025. These releases have set the stage for the album, which Cyrus describes as a visual and auditory exploration of healing, drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd’s The Wall.
Fans can stream “End of the World” on major platforms such as Spotify. Additionally, the official music video is available on YouTube, offering a glimpse into the artistic vision Cyrus has crafted for this new era in her music career.
