September 13, 2025 – Radio 854 Music News:
The Rolling Stones might be getting ready to drop a fresh studio album. According to Marlon Richards — son of Keith Richards — the legendary rockers are “in Chiswick or somewhere like that; I think they’re nearly done.”
The band have been recording since April 2025 at Metropolis Studios in West London.
They’ve reportedly laid down around 13 new songs so far, and are in discussions about when to release them.
Their work schedule continues to be intense: Marlon Richards says sessions stretch from after lunch into the early hours of the next morning.
Their last album, Hackney Diamonds (2023), won the Best Rock Album Grammy in 2025, which seems to have boosted the band’s energy to make another record.
Mick Jagger has said in interviews that he doesn’t think Hackney Diamonds will be the last new Rolling Stones album.
There is no confirmed release date yet.
Tour plans are rumoured — especially for Europe — but nothing has been officially announced.
How many of the tracks recorded will make the final cut, and whether there’ll be guest features or special production collaborators, remain unknown.
For long-time fans, this hints at more new material from one of rock’s longest-running acts. After the success of Hackney Diamonds, this could help solidify the Stones’ current creative surge. If the album drops in 2026, it might also be followed by live shows (especially in Europe), bringing old-school rock energy back to the stage.
