January 9, 2026 – Radio 854 Music News:

Britney SpearsPop icon Britney Spears has stunned fans with a heartfelt announcement that she will not perform in the United States ever again — at least for now. The 44-year-old superstar shared the news in a personal post on Instagram, citing what she described as “extremely sensitive reasons” behind her decision.

In her message, Britney shared a throwback image of herself sitting at a piano — the instrument she’s now gifting to one of her sons as a symbol of love and artistic legacy. She explained that dancing and music continue to play a healing role in her life, especially on social media where she posts videos to express herself freely.

“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons,”
she wrote, “but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon.”

Although Britney didn’t name exactly which son she plans to perform with, she has previously praised the musical talent of her children — especially the piano skills of her younger son.

A Career Transformed by Healing and Family

This marks a defining moment in Britney’s post-conservatorship life, as she continues to focus on personal wellbeing and family connections. The singer hasn’t performed a full live show since her Piece of Me residency ended in Las Vegas in 2017, and a planned comeback in Sin City for 2019 was canceled to prioritize family commitments.

Britney’s announcement reflects both her ongoing journey toward healing and her desire to craft her musical legacy on her own terms. While U.S. stages may be off the table, Britney’s fans around the world — especially in the United Kingdom and Australia — now have something exciting to look forward to.
